Scope & Content Mr. Gene Eldon Larson
U.S. Army Air Force, WWII. He first served as a Bombardier on board the B-24 bomber. He flew both the B-24 D model, and the B-24 H model. He flew 5o combat missions out of Italy from January 1944 to September of 1944. He discusses his mission to disable the German Air force by eliminating their pilots. His account is hand written with the interview. He received The Distinguished Flying Cross Medal, The Air Medal with four Leaf Clusters, The European Theater Medal with Five Battle Stars, The American Campaign Service Medal, The Victory Medal, and a Distinguished Unit Citation with Clusters.
